Far East Bloomers, Japan
We are glad to see the tournament being held for the third consecutive
year and we are honored to take part in all of them.
Far East Bloomers is a foreign contingent and this is our 11th overseas
expedition. We have different players joining our expedition every time
and this is our first time in our three expeditions to Hong Kong to have
almost all players that comes from rubber baseball leagues. It is our
challenge that players who used to play rubber baseballs to match up
with players from all around the world using leather balls.
Needless to say, our target is to win our third consecutive championship.
We aims at an undefeated championship and we are going to play with
respect to the spirit of fair play. |

TOP, Korea
Under the management of Hyoram Kang, 'TOP' is a team uniting Korea's first women's baseball team (Sunrise) and first women's rubber baseball team (Kang). As pioneers of Korean women's baseball, TOP leads the field in spreading and promoting women's baseball in Korea despite its relatively short history. The members of TOP have been national representatives in the Women's Baseball World Series held in Japan in 2004, and have placed second and third place in the Korean national tournaments. This is the third appearance in the Phoenix Cup for most of the players, and we expect to display a more polished skill this year. As the last-joining members of international women's baseball, TOP plans to continue working hard towards the expansion of women's baseball in Korea, and we ask for much of your support and cheers! Thank you. |
