The Buick Regals is comprised of a very talented group of women who are eager to represent Guam in the 2017 Phoenix Cup. For a handful of our players, this will be the second time participating in this tournament and for others it will be an exceptional experience. We would like to thank the HKBA for inviting us and we look forward to spreading our island’s Hafa Adai spirit while enjoying the game that connects us all. |
Far East Bloomers, Japan
Congratulations on the monumental 10th tournament! We are extremely honored and proud to participate in this event for 10 consecutive years since the very first tournament. It is a wonderful event filled with the hospitality of everyone in Hong Kong and we're looking forward to joining it every year. Most of our players are playing rubber ball baseball in different teams back in Japan and gather at the time of overseas expedition to hardball baseball. This time it will be the 20th overseas expedition of Far East Bloomers. We have played baseball in the US, Canada, Australia, and Guam but Hong Kong is where we visited and played most often. We would like to enjoy baseball quite well this time, too! |
Kookaburras, Australia
The Kookaburras (Australia) were founded in 2014 as a team of enthusiastic young players who played received an invitation to participate in the Inaugural LG Cup Women’s Invitational Tournament in Seoul, Korea. The players had such a great time meeting new friends and contacts from all parts of Asia and America that another invitation was accepted to compete in LG Cup in 2015. The team recently competed in Taiwan International Women’s Tournament just recently held in Taichung, Taiwan. The team have also travelled to Darwin and Singapore to help local players improve their baseball skills. The team is comprised of players from all over Australia and are mostly young players from the fourteen to sixteen age group. |
Shanghai Super Girls Baseball Team, China
Shanghai Super Girls Baseball Team was set up in 2014, which is the only amateur women baseball team in Shanghai and even in China at that time. From the very beginning till now, SSG grew up from 1 member to over 20 members in less than 2 years. SSG keeps going on and progressing, because girls train hard every week. These adorable girls have the deep love for baseball and the enthusiasm for learning and practice. No matter how different their backgrounds are, girls all believe that as long as they learn baseball diligently and commit to practice, they will experience the incomparable happiness brought by baseball. |

On behalf of the Singapore Panthers Women’s Baseball Team, we would like to thank Hong Kong Baseball Association for inviting us again to this prestigious regional tournament. Although our team is no stranger to this tournament, we have much to learn from teams from around the world, coming to participate in one of the most anticipated women’s baseball tournament. |
Taiwan Sunflower Women's Baseball Team, Taiwan
向日葵女子棒球隊來自於台灣台中市,成軍至今已經歷經15個年頭,最初成立契機是由幾個熱愛棒球的女生,受到世界棒球賽的影響以及透過網路,在網友的聲援與支持下,在三十四屆世界棒球錦標賽後成立「向日葵女子棒球隊」,成軍的13年來,期間數度面臨無場地、無教練,甚至一度大量球員離隊,經過不斷的磨合與整合,向日葵就像太陽花永遠正面迎向陽光,大步向前。向日葵的教練團,總教練顏良吉顏總,總是用她的帶隊核心「快樂棒球學」當作向日葵的信念支柱,而永不放棄陪伴向日葵成長的賴定聰教練,與明星教練陳柏羽教練,更是永遠給向日葵最大的支持與鼓勵。向日葵一路走來熱愛棒球始終如一,始終如一熱愛棒球,未來期盼能將「快樂棒球」,分享給每一位熱愛棒球的人。 |
Bottomed Out, Guam
Team Bottomed Out was created from a group of accomplished softball players to play in the Guam Women's Baseball Cup in 2016. Since then, we have remained together as a team, adding key players and practiced to be a better group of players by focusing on baseball techniques to prepare for competition by high-level international tournament teams. We sincerely appreciate the opportunity of playing baseball with elite players from other countries. We look forward to playing our very best in the 2017 Asia Insurance Phoenix Cup and enjoying our time meeting fellow baseball enthusiasts, gathered in Hong Kong for the love of the sport. Participating in the Phoenix Cup will allow us to grow as baseball players and provide an opportunity to interact with female baseball players from around the world and help grow the sport on our home Island of Guam. |
Venus Stars Youth Team, Japan
Venus Stars Youth team is consisted of U-16 players from Venus League, which is the biggest women’s baseball league in Japan and leagues are located in Tokyo Area. 11 players are from team called [LS Ladies] and 8 players are from [All Keikyu] both teams are Top Youth teams in Venus League. It is our very first experience to have games in overseas and we are all excited. Appreciate so much for HKBA for giving us such a great opportunity. We are also very excited to build a friendship with other teams through baseball and want to enjoy Hong Kong! |
Allies, Hong Kong
The Allies has been playing the Phoenix Cup every year since its inception. This year, apart from players played in the Women’s Baseball World Series and the IBAF Women’s Baseball Cup, young players emerge from the junior squad. We cherish every opportunity of playing baseball with elite players from other countries, and we are striving our very best in the coming Asia Insurance Phoenix Cup 2015. |
Bravo, Hong Kong
For the development of Women’s baseball in Hong Kong, Bravo (formerly known as Development Team) was founded to help explore the potential of local players, provide opportunities for them to compete with other elite players overseas and gain valuable experiences through competitions. Since the joining of talented young players, we are looking forward to enhancing our baseball techniques and sense of competition by high-level international tournaments. Hopefully, it can provide impetus for the continuous growth of Hong Kong Women’s baseball. |
